GoDaddy is without doubt one of the largest players in the domain and hosting industry. According to market reports, it powers over 20 million customers worldwide and manages 80+ million domain names, making it the biggest registrar in the world. Their name recognition and aggressive marketing have kept them at the front of the industry for years.

Now, let me introduce myself. I’m Kashif Mukhtar, a web developer and digital marketing consultant who has successfully completed 550+ web projects globally. In my career, I’ve worked across almost every major hosting platform and CMS environment. This journey has taught me what works, what doesn’t, and what truly wastes valuable time and resources for both developers and clients.

Unfortunately, GoDaddy falls into the last category. After years of experience, I’ve made a professional decision: I no longer work with GoDaddy accounts. Here’s why:

🚫 Why GoDaddy Is Not an Option for Me

  • Confusing Platform: Their dashboard and backend are unnecessarily complex, making even simple tasks hard to locate. This often frustrates clients and delays project timelines.
  • Bug-Ridden & Upsell Driven: Many of their tools seem intentionally limited, pushing users toward constant upgrades and upsells rather than focusing on smooth functionality.
  • Time Wastage: Navigating issues and settings on GoDaddy takes far more time compared to industry-leading alternatives. That wasted time directly impacts project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Poor & Slow Support: Instead of providing fast, effective solutions, their support often feels like another loop of upselling or scripted responses—rarely the quick fixes professionals need.

For these reasons, I’ve taken a firm stance: If you have a GoDaddy account, I will not be able to provide my services on it.

I believe in working with reliable, transparent, and efficient platforms that truly support client goals rather than slow them down. My clients deserve the best tools and the best results—unfortunately, GoDaddy doesn’t align with that standard.
